when does the pension start

I have just finished 58 years a few days back ( in August 2020 ). when I checked the PF portal no information is available regarding my pension number/Bank even though I filled it up 3 years back . My question is how do they communicate? In case I need to request where do I file the request. Though I reside in Pune the PF was credited to Bangalore centre as my office HQ was in Bangalore! more

You need to fill the complete Pension fund forms and submit through last employer. You will start getting pension after 58 years. But if delays, no loss. They pay all balance pension in 1st installment. SBI/Dena bank account is mandatory to be mentioned in the form. For me it took about 3 months to clear. more
Pension starts after age crosses 58 years. You should ask your employer to fill the form and submit in EPF deptt, but please open a Joint pension account ( with your wife ) and the account number is to be mentioned in the form to be submitted by your employer to the EPF deptt. Hope this helps. more
Are you still working with your Company. Have you submitted Form 10c/10D through your Employer? If you have UANNo. you can verify the same on EPF Portal. If not found, you can ask your employer whether they have submitted your form to the Authorities and if so ask them to follow up and let you know more
Pl. Check with your employer to get your UAN NO , PF AND PENSION A/C NO. more
Sir, It is neither easy nor automatic in EPF related queries. My wife retired and it took one and half years to get her money back, that too after several visits to office. You should be able to see your balance in your account on line. First confirm, that all credits have been made and interest worked out. You should have completed 10 years of service, for becoming eligible for pension. But all things can be checked on line. Wish you all the best more
