When PM has given a clarion call to forgo subsidies and other benefits given to the citizen by the Govt like Gas cylinders, Ration shop facilities etc , why the Railway officers and employees drawing fat salaries and so many miscellaneous perks (I can count at least half a dozen) are still a pampered one. Is the Railway Ministries are not a part of Govt. policies? They keep on formating malafide strategies specially at the top level to fleece the passengers. A few examples are:
1) Dynamic pricing of tickets
2) Forceful charging of foods in Rajdhani, Duronto.
3) High train fare ,more than airflight in special trains, which runs empty.
4) Rakshak becomes bhakshak. Rampant corruptions.
5) Charges of food is very high and non transparent. Quality is very poor. Recent report of CAG in all the news papers are the tantamount of that.

Commitments for improvements remain in lectures and papers. There appears to be no control mechanism to monitor. We hear tn the Minister's statement about lakhs of crores of Rs spent and allotted. No visibility of any significant improvement. It is high time, Mr. Prabhu, the minister himself should take a retrospection and monitor the time bound plan Once done, the progress should be published for general public to raise the faith and confidence level of people of India. more

I appreciate the views expressed by Saral Kumar Dey . Serious insight to these important issues by Ministry of Railways is the need of the hour. We were expecting a lot more from Shri.Suresh Prabhu being a dynamic professional but alas he has dissapointed more
Around 40% of MPs & MLAs are crorepati. Why not the PM first call upon them to forego their salaries and other allowances & charges for the nation? Let them render their services for the nation and its citizens free of cost. In this process a few billion of rupees could be saved each year and invested for the nation building & extended more & more cost free facilities for the poor! In USA & Canada the senior citizens are enjoying concessions in every walk of life right from hair cutting to movie watching, whereas, our government is just on the way of searching out the excuses to withdraw the very few number of concessionary facilities made available to our senior citizens. Our political parties can decide together to drastically curtail their election expenses and divert the money for the benefit of the nation and its citizens. Introduction of dynamic fare system in indian rails making the rail fare equivalent or more of the air fare is a blunder of the ministry and today or tomorrow they will have to roll back their decision. Instead of compulsorily adding the cost of foods in premier trains to the cost of tickets, this should be made optional. more
Railway staff and officers and staff of public sector oil companies are getting too much extra benefits in addition to their fat salary. Can you imagine the salary and all other benefits of a GM is much more than the Secretary of the concerned deptt. Dynamic pricing of tickets is horrible.I have witnessed a scene where one senior citizen booked ticket 3months in advance and was allotted upper birth away from his partner whereas lower births around his partner went vacant On Tue, Aug 15, 2017 at 8:09 PM, Saral Kumar Dey < support@localcirclesmail.com> wrote: > more
I agree with the post on 'Dynamic Fare'. It is indeed a deterrent to buy tickets on Rajadhani Shadapthi Express trains, due to the unfair practice being followed by the Indian Railway.
Requesting the Minister for Railways to withdraw this system of charging 'Dynamic Fare' immediately. more
CAN MINISTERS AND MPS AND MLAS GIVE UP 15000 PER MONTH GIVEN TO THEM FOR TELEPHONE CAN PRIME MINISTER NOW SCRAP THIS FACILITY AS ALL TELECOM COMPANY NOW GIVE ALL FACILITY IN LESS THAN 1500 PER MONTH LIKE THIS MANY FACILITY GIVE TO THEM BE ABOLISHED OR THEY GIVE UP PENSION SCHEME TO MPS AND MLAS ALSO BE ABOLISHED CAN PRIM MINISTER HAS COURAGE TO DO SO TO SAVE THE FALTU MONEY GOES TO THESE PEOPLE AFTER THEIR RETIREMENT AS GOVT HAS ALREADY ABOLISHED PENSION SCHEME TO EMPLOYEES more
I AGREE WITH THIS PROPOSAL more
