Where are smart cities that were announced in 2014

This has lot to do with caliber of people getting recruited in Municipal corporations + skills, knowledge, attitude, English language etc. All those are hired by good Corporates; so left outs prefer to join such Govt bodies. One live example - There was damage to very old water pipe line. Corporation did not have layouts, so to find exact location they had to dig out roads at 7 different places....just imagine !! Finally, they had to take new pipeline from main road. Executive shared with me that old people in the dept had the neck to solve the problem but they all have retired and younger gen have their own way of tackling. There has been improvements in various areas, but too sluggish and in turn we miss out on quality Urban life. Heavy budgets get sanctioned from State Govt, but real funds are not utilised the way it should be making the things pathetic moreso during monsoon. If Govt wants to do and pushed from highest authorities, it works fine as for example i. When President Trump had come to Ahmedabad once....even just for 1.5-2 hrs visit, fantastic arrangements were done and citizens got spellbound with cleanliness, decoration on Airport road, paint, deploying heavy police force, CRPF. It was heard that 14 crores were spent budget ki aisi taisi in such cases ii. Marvellous Flower show is organised by Ahmedabad Muni corp every year...one can see high level of dedication and quality aspects. whereas as a normal citizens since years we are struggling with Muni Corp, Traffic dept for Speed bumps, encroachments, parking and traffic chaos in our Society area...hardly any support. Even MLAs, Corporators become helpless in the bureaucratic system. Anyway, our fight should continue towards better Governance and quality urban life. more  

Helloo Scholars, writing On Social media will sometimes helps but not always. Being a Citizen what peoples are performing their duties ? Spiting, throwing dust on road , traffic Rules violations , Political interfere , Money & Muscle Powers , No laws abiding. It is due to Live dead Bodies. They are sitting & enjoying the Trip on Voting day & another selfishness. If it is increase in Society how the cities will become good or Smart ??? No Control on Govt. Machinery from Peoples & leaders. Who is Responsible ? more  

State government to initiate smart city projects. If not assumed or mistaken, whichever state initiated smart city progress is visiable. Politicians are responsible for development of state/ center. more  

Rome was not built in a day. It took efforts of generatin. What have we done? We give power with out responsibility? more
