Who is the real income tax payer?

In my view that all the Central and State Government employees and Pensioners are the real income tax payers to the Government of India through their employer without fail during their service period and after their service period. The employee and his/her spouse are facing lot problems after retirement which are taken care of their children in some cases and in some cases it is not at all taken care by them. After retirement what they really needed is good health care packages by the government of India i.e. Central Government Employees Health Care scheme and State Government Employees Health care scheme. The CGHS facilities are extended to some retired employees and not fully extended to some employees. When the income tax is fully recovered while in service and after service why not the facility should not be extended at par with the regular employees. The present Modiji's government should act immediately on this issue and to do justice for the deprived people. more

Its not correct to say that only the government employees and the pensioners are the real income tax payers. There are lot of professionals and business community people who are paying income tax regularly. This is also not justified to ask the government for suitable Health Insurance Schemes only for these categories of people. Instead, looking to the sky rocketing cost of medical services in the country, such a social security is urgently needed by at least 80% of our populace who are direly lacking financial capacity to meet with the exorbitantly high cost of medical services in the event of serious ailments of themselves and their family members. The matter has been totally neglected by all our erstwhile governments leaving the poor at their own fate to die without medical treatment. The present government is, therefore, urged upon to come out with suitable Health Insurance Scheme in the name of providing social security at least to all those middle class & poor category people against payment of nominal premium. more
