WHO must act NOW on Nu

Shouldn’t the WHO call an urgent meeting and as a first step mandate all countries to stop international flights immediately until we know more about new variant B1.1.529 aka Nu 🦠?

WHO leadership failed miserably in 2020 and 2021 with Delta in its ability to stay ahead of the pandemic and caution countries. Will it do something now or again take 2 months before classifying it as Variant of Concern. The scientists are very very 😟 worried 😦

Is this the moment of truth ? more

If the mankind again fails to address the urgency to contain the spread of the new variant of Corona virus it will face the consequences. No need to wait for opinion and instructions from WHO. Booster dose or a new vaccine will be decided not by public opinion but by characterising the new variant and efficacy of the vaccines already administered on the population. more

Since we have been seeing since last two years the ability and effectiveness of WHO in regard to the pendemic, over reliance on the world Body again may prove to be suicidal. Instead, all nations jointly and severally draw up effective action plans to stop the new variants of the disease from spreading up and create havoc all over the world. more
Why to wait for instruction from WHO? Countries like US, UK, Singapore are banning flights from South Africa and few other countries where Nu virus is found. They must have strong reason to ban. Why can't our government also be proactive and ban the flights. We delayed it in 2020 and 2021 and same mistake it seems we are going to make again. No learning from the past mistakes more
Might be a marketing strategy for Booster Dose?????? more
