Why aren't we standing up against Service Charge
I just saw the localcircles poll in the transforming circle. Only 9% of the participants are saying that they are standing up against service charge and able to get a discount or remove service charge. 50% are saying restaurant charged and they paid.
why are people afraid to stand up. i think we must oppose and like one of the members said, she got it removed and paid the same amount as tip to waiter. if people dont stand up, how will change come whether or not there is govt notification or no notification. more

Going by the past, since three years, even if the entire country erupts against ALL THE ATROCITIES being meted out by the current regime, it would definitely go in deaf ears as the current governments governance seems more dictatorial. They gag people who talk against them and infuse a trail of terror tactics to restrain such people from speaking the truth. The common man's privacy (which is guaranteed under the Constitution) is already snatched by the mandatory linking of Adhaar & Pan... We are only fools to think we are still a democratic country...... Too many taxes.... Right from conception to the grave... Are anybody raising against such unjustified taxes? Why only Service Charge? Why not Service Tax? The base has been widening and also the percentage of tax. Has anybody raised against the Income Tax structure? I think it is better to have Regulations for Service Charges in Hotels & Restaurants. If they levy Service Charge in the Bill, they must be fined heavily. Such a Rule will defiantly prove effective and such illegal activities will end. more

Why superfast charges for trains that are always late? We have Gomti express running between new delhi and lucknow. It is supposed to be a syper fast but always reaches 2-3 hours late. Indian Railways is cheating the hapless travellers just because it enjoys monopoly on train travel. It better reviews the time taken by trains in reaching their destinations and redraw the list of superfast trains. A train doesn't become superfast by merely naming it so. more
