Why do youngsters like foreign taste?

Please share your opinion on why is it hard to find Indian authentic foods in Delhi, affordable by students? Why do they opt for Burgers, Sandwiches, Noodles and some foreign dishes? more

I believe, our eating habits are changing due to multiple factors. 1. TV advertisements, Commercial promotions of factory made foods are available in fancy packages, decorated counters, targeting the kids especially. 2. Young working couples staying in nuclear family setup do not have the know-how of making legacy dishes. Many popular dishes of Grandma's age are dis-appearing from the menu at home. 3. Modern kitchen equipment and cutleries are designed for making or eating foreign dishes. These are the new fashion trends at every home as the buying power has increased. 4. Busy life-styles and travel needs demand easy wrap foods On the other hand, nature foods like tender coconuts, sugarcane juices are sold at footpaths and un-hygienic places. Why? In a way, we are ignoring or neglecting our health. more
The food shown above by Bhatji is Healty food. When we have this food why go for Fast Food like Burgers and Noodles. etc. Why should not the AMMA CANTEEN work in Delhi? more
Do you think "Amma Canteen" would work for Delhi also? http://www.hindustantimes.com/punjab/chandigarh/mayor-wants-to-replicate-amma-canteen-in-ut/article1-1259049.aspx more
