Why Governance Focus is Critical

Yesterday the nation witnessed election results for 5 states, the most important of which was Uttar Pradesh given its size and importance to national politics. The mandate their was clearly historic and conveys a direct and positive message which indicates that their is now a shift in focus from caste/religion to governance.

LocalCircles in its Residents of Uttar Pradesh circle had conducted a poll on governance and what the state desires on Feb 2, 2017. Below is the report:

LocalCircles also has a detailed citizen driven governance manifesto for the state which we will be sharing in person with the new state leadership soon.

We look forward to any inputs that you may have! more

The two things which have rooted out of this country to allow it to prosper - One is corruption - Presidential style of election for all State Chief Minister and Prime Ministers and they should be allowed to rule for five years without interruption - No help of defections and party changes etc. Next is it is high time we get rid of the reservations - It has been thoroughly misused by 10% of the families and for the past three generations they are not allowing others to come up. The poor in villages remains there only. Dr. Ambedkar want the reservations for 10 Years and it is now 70 years let us scrap them. KCR in Telengana want reservations on the basis of Religion - How can you say such and such a religion is poor. Politicians are ruling the nation by dividing people on the name of Caste, Religion, Region and Language - Kindly to ensure fair elections let there be elections for Village, Tow, District, State and Nation together for three months and rest of the five years let us all together work for the nation. For any reason any position gets vacated the next person on the ladder takes his position on the basis of Number votes polled by him. For all small Posts other than IAS and IPS etc - there should be written exams and People are automatically gets selected on the basis of Marks - No interviews - If not government jobs are sold and root of corruption begins. Identify areas of Discretion and remove them so that there is no corruption. Form RIGID Rules and take decisions as per rules only. If any body takes a decision beyond the rules - He shall be immediately suspended and only after three months there will be listening for his case. Name of the person suspended shall be exhibited on all office boards saying that he has been put under suspension. more
- Make a concentrated drive to eradicate all the illegal and dangerous activities that abound in UP. - Strict action to be taken against all the goons, kingpins and their gangs and all of them should be stopped immediately and legal action taken and all their ill gotten gains should be siezed. - The police and govt officials who have collaborated with these goons should also be fired and legal action taken against them. - The safety of women and children should be of paramount importance along with the upliftment and education for all. - Strict arms act should be brought in and implemented. - Job opportunities and technical training opportunities should be organized for all. more

Change is happening. Election results has brought with it hope of better, improved situations. more
strange Indian democracy! A teacher cannot contest as an M.L.C candidate when he still a teacher. A graduate cannot contest as an M.L.C when he is doing a job. But criminal though he is in a jail can contest for elections. A business man who holds an office can contest an election to full fill his business obligations. Anti-defection law has become a laughing stuff. Tickets are given only based on caste and religion. We write so much on this wall but no change occurs. more
