Stadium imports 50,000 chairs from S Korea for U-17 World Cup
The Dr D Y Patil stadium at Nerul has been transformed from a cricketing arena into a football turf at an investment of Rs 25 crore. For the makeover, as many as 50,000 chairs were imported from South Korea. The seating arrangement has been streamlined to make sight lines clear for every seat. The bucket chairs adhere to FIFA guidelines.
What is surprising that on one hand Government is shouting "Make in India", on the other hand it is allowing import of chairs which could be manufactured in India itself, as it does not involve top secret technology. It would have generated employment.

The opted dependency on Imports since 90s diversifying Making/Production in India increased benefits through Money Laundering , quid-prokho while wrecked down the Economic sustenance in the Country . All such selfish policies and practices shall be eradicated at National interest considering the whole issue of public interest at constitutional adherence . more
