Why India cant beat China
See attached. Even small electrical components of Indian brands are actually made in china. Our companies have given up on themselves and the Govt and folks from RSS and Swadeshi manch are living in their own world with little knowledge of how business works.
They need to actually study manufacturing before sayinh ban chinese products. Such thinking is extremely distructive for India.
I suggest we all think about this ponder and have a meaningful discussion on what can be done to retain and build our long terms competitive advantage. This ban model of the nationalists is not working out, just gives those people a little press. more

We have to follow the master ,since Blueprint is already available how China become Manufacturing hub and we have to put our feet in their shoes adjust little bit suit us most . Very simple strategy is KISS ( KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID ) follow the Master.Of Course Our government has to change their policies accordingly . more

discussion with the engineers and other technocrats, the most important point which emerged was cheap power supply. Either giving incentives to the manufacturers especially export related or giving benefits to the people who are working towards the import substitution (especially electronic good) will help to reduce tremendous amount of dependency on affordable competitive reliable electronic good. more

Govt. should study, what kind of components are brought from China by Indian manufacturers and improve production technology to manufacture those parts at Chinese cost so that dependency on China can be brought down. Only this way we can fight China. more

Dear Mala, You don't know how business works and why Chinese products have edged Indian Made products out of market. First, Chinese manufacturers get huge subsidy from local govt. as well as central govt. and is the main reason for their low costs. Do you know, as cost of labour has increased in China, Now, we can compete with them in manufacturing if you do not take in to account govt. subsidy they receive. It is definitely possible. I am manufacturing Electronic Hardware product in India and competing with chinese products in India as well as World Market. We just have to do one thing. Ensure customs dept. is not corrupt and implements all rules and impose 100% Customs duty on chinese origin goods to recover money spent on fighting terror in Kashmir and India in general. This can be acceptable to WORLD as well as we are recovering money from a country which is supporting terrorists indirectly. We must ask Modi Govt. to impose 100% duty on made in China Goods to recover money spent in fighting terrorists due to indirect support terrorists receive from CHINA. And see the magic. We may feel few products becoming costly, but it would be worth it. In their own country, they do not allow them to keep beards also. And all chinese mandarin people are settled in middle of muslim localities and are given guns and are told to shoot any one without hesitation if they feel threatened.
