Why is GST council losing it in a hurry

The GST Council has recommended 5% GST on dairy items like pre- packed, pre-labeled curd, lassi and butter milk and increasing GST on dairy machinery and milking machines from 12% to 18%. This move will adversely affect over 9 crore households depending on the dairy sector. more

Businesses (those having gst registration) claim credit for the gst they pay via input tax credit. It is the common man who is either an employee or lives on interest income who actually pay gst. This is my understanding. I might be wrong. So, the lovers are the non-gst registered people who are honest enough to get proper bills. more
GSt council does not know the pulse of the common man since nothing effects them so as mentioned earlier these people may also add gst on air we breathe. more
These are common Food Items. They should not come under GST. Govt has to be Rational. more
and people are taking credit for implementing it and nothing has become cheaper and everything has increased even basic needs of people.Only item is air that we breathe has not been taxed and it may not be long before it is also taxed. It does not need a council to decide as to what are the items which a middle class and lower class consume whose tax should be very less and this can be increased on rich people consumption items. With inflation and rates of all commodities at such level god only knows what the govt is doing to control them. For retired and sr citizens it has become a big headache to make ends meet more
The GST Council is not capable of applying its mind. All proposal whether rational or irrational prepared by Bureucrats placed before it are approved. GST system in India is most complex and has built in facility for Fraud. more
Council is not required, let the burocrats decide. Some expenses will be reduced. more
