WHY I.TAX PAYERS ARE LOW IN NUMBER?
सरकार का रोना है कि सवा सौ करोड़ लोगों में सिर्फ 3.60 करोड़ लोग ही आयकर देते हैं..!
इससे लोगों के दिमाग में पहला संदेश यही जाता है कि सारे देशवासी टैक्सचोर है..!
लेकिन सरकार बड़ी ही सफाई से यह छिपा जाती है कि,
- सवा सौ करोड़ में 43 करोड़ लोग तो 18 साल से कम आयु के हैं जो अमूमन कमाने की स्थिति तक पहुंचे ही नहीं होते!
बचे 82 करोड़!
- इनमें से 75% अर्थात 61.5 करोड़ लोग किसान हैं जिनको सरकार ने स्वयं ही करमुक्त किया हुआ है!
बचे 20.5 करोड़!
- इनमें से लगभग 5.5 करोड़ लोग भूमिहीन हैं और BPL में आते हैं।
बचे 15 करोड़, जो न किसान हैं न BPL में!
- इनमें से वरिष्ठ नागरिक, घरेलू महिलाओं, टैक्सेबल आमदनी से कम आयवालों, 18 साल से अधिक उम्र के बेरोजगारों की संख्या लगभग 11.40 करोड़ निकाल दें।
कुल जमा कमानेवाले बचे 3.60 करोड़!
इतने लोग टैक्स दे ही रहे हैं। फिर चोर चोर का शोर क्यों??
(यहां 'किसानों' का समीकरण जानना भी बहुत दिलचस्प है। इन *'किसानों' में कई ऐसे हैं जो लक्जरी कार, बंगला रखते हैं, लेकिन करमुक्त हैं! लगभग सभी नेता,पार्षद, विधायक,सांसद,मंत्री,मुख्यमंत्री और उनके संरक्षित सेठ, फिल्म स्टार तक 'किसान बने हुए हैं,*सिर्फ इसलिये कि अन्य स्रोतों से हुई आय को किसानगिरी से कमाया बताकर उसपर टैक्स देने से बच सकें!)
3.60 करोड़ लोगों के पैसे से देश चल रहा है, नेताओं की देशी विदेशी तफरीहें होती है, संसद की कैंटीन में करमुक्त वेतन लेनेवाले माननीयों द्वारा सब्सिडी लेकर भिखारियों के रेट में फाइव स्टार भोजन का आनंद लिया जाता है!

After 70 years of Independence, if the Govt cannot charge even a token 1% or even less on Agricultutal income where is justice to the tax payer? Alternatively, abolish/scrap income tax immediately. The Govt proclaims that the entire economy is based on agriculture. If so, why no tax on agriculture? Are citizens, other than agriculturists, not contributing to the economy and to the development of the nation? I second and compliment Shri Vinod on the figures presented. Just 3.6 crore tax payers. What Shri Vinod has missed is that of the 3.6 crore tax payers, how many are below Rs. 10 lacs and how many above it? If my memory serves me right, FM has admitted that majority of these 3.6 crores is below the Rs. 10 lac. Consider the cost of administering this minority for taxation. It is unjust enrichment of our own democratic govt. Now the Govt has all the details of the citizen as the Aadhar is linked to the bank account. The pain that this citizen has undergone for demonetisation, should bear the fruit of uniform taxation to all its citizen through the GST route and by abolition of the income tax. The sooner the better. more

We should improve our moral and mentality in the matter. Why we hide our income? For our heritage? For our next generation? Are they cowards? Are they less intelligent or unable to hold our property? The next generation has more IQ. We should give them opportunity. They will prove their best. We should not earn for them or make piles of money and property for seven generations. These are wrong notions and orthodox ideas. We spoil our next generation by earning in wrong ways. more
