Why middle class is being targeted?

Slowly but steadily middle class is losing faith in the Govt. I have been a very strong supporter of Modiji, but I am losing faith
1) Arun Jetleyji mentioned so many times that he wants to reduce direct taxes. But instead of reducing taxes, he is imposing more and more taxes.
Recent PF tax and not allowing to withdraw PF is a very sensitive issue for middle class and I see dissent growing among my friends, even who were strong supporters of this Govt. Does the Govt. plans to lose all its vote bank of educated middle class people. With the current trend and mood, I don't see this Govt. winning the next general election. Which will be really bad as we don't want people like Rahul Gandhi to become PM.
2) Research grants have been reduced a lot. Total number of research fellowships have been reduced drastically. Research community is in general not happy with these type of decisions.
3) Though I believe Modiji is putting lot of effort at Centre, at the ground level I don't see any change.
in Bangalore life is pathetic.
a) Dangerous Potholes everywhere, please note BJP has majority in BBMP and MPs, though state Govt. is Congress.
My bike need to literally swim in water in rainy days, since potholes get filled with water and we also can't know, where its deep, so its very dangerous.
b) Dust filled roads causing respiratory diseases.
c) Vehicular Pollution, specially from diesel vehicles and transport vehicles and no strict pollution check by traffic Police.
d) Everyday traffic jams, my legs pain everyday
e) Whole bangalore is running on water tankers. Which cause traffic, Pollution, wastage of fuel and wastage of society money. Why can't BBMP supply water from those lakes, which are bing used by water tankers..
f) Corruption, Every house registration requires big money to be paid in the name of legal expenses. Builder collects it and pays to corrupt officers..
g) Most potholes are created by big builders vehicles, why middle class is being heavily taxes, what action is being taken on builders. Also lot of dust on roads is due to new constructions and their vehicles. more

Rate of bank interest has no major significance for those who take loan with pre determined notion not to return it whereas senior citizens depending only on bank interest get badly hurt due to reduction in interest rate as their sole income reduces in the environment of daily raising prizes. Can government do something for us? more
People had high expectation when this government came to power as people have voted for a change. Two years have passed and the government has failed to touch the problems of common people. Government may be doing macro level changes which may take effect after some time by then the next three years will go as a blink. In order to live up to the expectations of the common people, the government should have done something that touches the daily life of every Indian and govt. miserably failed in this front: Public Health - the traditional method of previous governments were to promise to add health centers and hospital and other infrastructure - But NO ONE IS THINKING ABOUT REDUCING THE HEALTH PROBLEMS BY STOPPING THE PROBLEMS CAUSING ACTIVITIES like food adulteration, use of calcium carbide for ripening the fruits, excess use of pesticides, use of preservative also use of formaline, urea etc. for preservation of fish and meat. Government can easily stop such malpratices and reduce health problems. Problems of marginal farmers. Water train was a good concept but it is a reactive solution not sustainable. The local bodies can initiate various ground water and rain water preservation methods but lost two rainy seasons already. Swatch Bharat - started with much fan fare but almost lost momentum and garbage every where because no one thought about putting a sustainable solution. There are many small things which can change the quality of life of the middle class but not done anything. Nothing to say about price rise of essential commodities. more
