Why still no drinking water supply standards
Been 5 days since families in a apartment complex on Kanakapura Rd Bengaluru started falling ill. 268 out of 830 families at Brigade Meadows Pulmeria, Kaggalipura, reported vomiting & stomach-related issues. More attached.
Till there are clear standards on water supply for municipalities and standards for validation by AOAs we will remain at risk.

Water filter and RO can be the alternatives to reduce our dependence on the municipal Corporations for providing pure and risk free drinking water but what percentage of our people can afford it! It won't exceed 20% to 25% of our population. Providing clean & safe drinking water to the citizens is the primary responsibility of the local bodies. In case they fail, they must be prosecuted in a court of law for payment of compensation for negligence and damage made. more

The quantity n quality of water has become big issue in the country. Govt must focus on this and ensure fortnight test of drinking water throughout the country. more

While we don't see TB as a source of illness from water, but all other factors have to be taken care more

Standards quality testing etc all are available. Stop the sanitation water and drink water lines mixup. If problem use house filters ( better) To encourage RO water municipal authorities and businesses just think wrong more
