Why we are not involved

Recently a list of top 10 police stations was published by Home Ministry. My basic question is why we as citizens are not involved in such rating processses. Why is there no transparency of process. Can people from these locations below comment on this list? Is it true?

These are gimmicks. We the citizens should not bother it. more
Is this list authentic. Police stations are under individual states. Who and how can decide their ratings in such circumstances? Centre? No. Because centre has no role in law and order. Their has to be common authority for such ratings. And why should their be such ratings at all? There are incentives for individual police authorities for their bravery and efficient service which can motivate them to perform well provided one is not corrupt and there is no political pressure. My opinion is, Public voting may again prove to be farce and non effective like our general and state elections where clean guy can not imagine of winning such elections without money and muscle power. Feedback like the ones on local circle is a fantastic move but voting for best police stations may soon be highjacked by powerful. more
Hi Anushka, Local citizen should be involved in rating procedures for local police stations. Citizen feedback for local police station must be mandatory and it must include feedback for services provided by local police stations, resolving Case/ complaints, protection, surveillance reports, etc. Regards, Neelesh Taikar On 8 Jan 2018 11:54 pm, "Anushka Singh" wrote: > more
All police stations are basically public oriented. It's very funny to categorize police stations without public participation. If it was done so it would have been better to notify the names of public representatives also at the time of positing of news. more
