Why we should pay for watching ads ?

Hi everyone, I am Jai from Haryana. I always had confusion between paid and free to air channels category. Once a customer has selected his desired channels and paid for the services than why he is tortured by compelling to watch unnecessary advertisements which I have not opted. If there is an important information which is to be broadcasted by Govt. only to be allowed by the TRAI. Why should I pay and watch all vulgar ads. which motivates to lead bad habits.
It seems that the broadcasters are playing monopoly at their own. Besides getting huge amount from ads they are cutting our pockets. Why TRAI is not taking attention in this field. The broadcaster should be allowed to cast the ads only on free to air channels. more

They made us slaves/dependents of TV/you tube etc.Now they are confident we can not live without them. Can we? We can not. why to blame anyone. If all the viewers stop watching , We can see them dancing. But can we? more
Ads are more then the content. Many a times it is boring to watch ads. more
We have to pay to watch Advertisements because, neither we have options nor we have any say. Ironically, Ads. are expected to lure viewers whereas those only irritate them. I don't remember if i has bought any products or services just because of Ads. and not on quality. more
Basically there are three payments for the same channel here. 1- to the DTH/cable provider, 2- to the 'pay' channel and 3- to the advertisers as they take our most valuable payment viz. time. In a way, the print media is no better. We pay 5-6 Rs per day for newspapers. In a total of about 20 pages, advertisements take up almost 11 pages. Really glad this issue has been raised. Hope there will be some solution. more
This is debated in Telecommunication Ministry. The GOI is allowing ads in the paid channels because of strong lobby by the channels. What GOI can do is to restrict the total time. Or, it may allow only ads during the start and/or during the end of the particular show. more
Media Houses need to be mandated for Accounting and Audit improving their Role Performance towards the Objectives of Journalism.
SC NEED TO re visit their earlier Judgments of 1985, 84 and 94 to make Media responsible for CONSTITUTIONALLY MANDATED RULE motivating public towards a BETTER ELECTORATE as well as Banning INDECENT PRESENTATION OF WOMEN as well as INDECENT RE PRESENTATION. more
