WILL METTUR DAM OVER FLOW ?

Politicians of Tamil Nadu have no time to think of the people. They only want to safe-guard their interests. Ultimately the people are the sufferer. more  

Chennai suffers from frequent water scarcity often. During the deluge of 2015 the authorities could not help preventing inundating all the areas of water bodies converted to developed plots for housing.The entire surplus water was allowed to reach the sea.It did not occur to them that there should be a plan to conserve surplus water for rain deficient years.Same planning is required for farm lands in Tamil Nadu.Has any political parties thought on these lines.Why should we blame Karnataka for not giving water every year. more  

True Mr. Sivaprakasam, at this stage we have to take leaf from the History , particularly when the Congress Government in the center as well as in Karnataka State ,Devaraj Urs was C.M of Karnataka 4 decades back {1972 to 1980} . Congress were snubbed the decimation by the DM.K. in 1969 . Later when A.D.M.K. came to power under M.G.R. in 1977. It was dismissed by Indira Gandhi who came back to power in 1980, and in the same year M.G.R. Government was dismissed by the Center . The elections held later to the Assembly the same year saw M.G.R. back , leaving the Congress licking their wounds . In the 1980 Lokh Sabha elections , Devaraj Urs campaigning for the Congress at Tanjavur in Tamilnadu made an scathing ,arrogant statement "THE KEY TO OPEN THE SLUICE GATES OF KAVERI IS WITH US IN KARNATAKA " . T.N.electorate were not cowed down and voted A.D.M.K. to power again after the dismissal. This statement should have been Questioned by the then Congress ruling the Center . THAT WAS THE FIRST SEED SOWN INTO THE MINDS OF THE KARNATAKA CITIZENS . How to revoke it , in the absense of spine from the center as well as the Karnataka state Governments . BOTH THE GOVERNMENT HAVEN'T SEEM TO HAVE TAKEN ANY EFFORT . THANKS TO THE S.C. VERDICT THAT HAS EXPLAINED THE MATTER WELL . Tamils have understood , but the karnataka poiticians are blinding the eyes of their citizens . So the situation has gone out of hands of the politicians . It is now the duty of the responsible citizens of both the states to explain the S.C. Ruling . WATERSHARING IS BASED ON THE SURFACE AREA OF THE RIVER FLOWING NOT ON THE PLACE OF ORIGIN . Internationaly 5 countries are sharing the Mekong river in the far east from china , hongkong till vietnam and Kampucia. We are one country , if we cant do it in this where else will we stay to gether as one nation. THE SLOGAN OF ONE NATION etc. AND THE IMPLEMENTATION IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CENTER IRRESPECTIVE OF THE PARTY .LOOK BEYOND PETTY PARTY LINES AND MAKE INDIA ONE THIS WAY TO EXPECT EVRY INDIAN TO BE PATRIOTIC . Now, we can only dream about action that should be taken! God is already confused of what is happening in all the 4 southern States. We must just pray. more
