Will you go in for `corrected’ or `non-corrected’ myopia?
There may well be some of them like the beautiful actor Bipasha Basu (who, according to the Times correspondent Priya Gupta – as reported in Times of India dated December 18, 2014 – is myopic to the tune of -3.50D) who don’t want to go in for glasses, contact lenses, or refractive surgery, and may well be brilliant (as myopes see well by bringing objects close to their eyes)...but, is it really wise to reuse distant correction and deny yourself enjoying the beauty of nature (and face hardships of daily life like not able to see the number of the bus on the road)?
Management options for a myopic person include (i) eye-catching spectacles with feather-light plastic lenses, (ii) comfortable disposable contact lenses, and (iii) dependable refractive surgery.
And, the choice of course is yours as to either remain a non-corrected myope (and face the hardships of not seeing distant objects well) or get your near-sightedness corrected (and lead a fuller life)!
