I have worked in a company from 14th April 2008 to 1st April 2016 then shift the company 14th May 2016 to 30May 2017. Now i am working in my current organisation from 1st june 2017. I have transfer my both old organisation PF to my current organisation. I like to withdraw my EPS ( pension fund) which can not be transferred. When i try online in the session only form 31 is coming no 10C form . What should i do, go for offline or any one tell me I am eligible to withdraw the EPS as per low. As per my understanding I will have to withdraw the EPS because it is not transferred and I have not worked 10 years for a particular company.
You have an option to fill the EPS withdrawal form which can be filled only when you turn to a retirement age as per the constitution of India (which is 60 as of now). The EPS ideally gets automatically transferred and an acknowledgement is sent. However, if you have not received it please contact the relevant PF office. This is a real headache to keep the acknowledgement till we turn 60 as there a chance we may lose it or forget about it by then. However, we currently do not have an option other than this. more
As you transfer your previous PF balance in to new PF account no. and your UAN id is same then the counting of previous service is added with the new one. The total service is count from beginning till the end of your retirement and your pension will be calculated according to it as it has not any relevance how many times you transferred your account and leaving the job or joining the new job. You should not need any scheme certificate because you transferred your account electronically. more
You have been working continuously from April 2008 till date and according to you, your previous PF have been transferred to your current organisation. When you are working in any organisation, you cannot withdraw either PF or EPS. Furthermore, when EPF gets transferred automatically the EPS also gets transferred. If you work for a minimum period of 9 years and 6 months it gets rounded off to 10 years and in your case, you are eligible for EPS scheme certificate only. more
EPS contribution cannot be withdrawn in transfer cases hence, submit form 10C manually asking for scheme certificate this is the only way and procedure. more
As per EPFO web side EPS has two option once you leave the job before 10 years. First is withdrawal second is pension certificate. So that you can have pension after 58 years. more
