Women Safety - Driving Govt Action
The root cause of increasing crimes against women is that there is no Fear of Law. The reasons for this are:
1. Refusal to file FIR by Police
2. No response to calls to emergency number 100 while crime is being committed.
3. Criminals know that the case will take more than 15 to 20 years to be decided.
4. There will not be eye witnesses in 99% of Rape/Gang Rape cases.
5. Rapists are allowed to roam free by courts to commit the same crime again.
6. Police take very long time to file charge sheet and file charge sheets running up to 10000 pages in some cases.
7. No Judge will have time or patience to read such long charge sheets.
8. Recording of evidence is delayed by various strategies adopted by Lawyers and frequent adjournments are requested and granted on flimsy grounds.
9. Judges tend to deliver very long orders to show reasonableness of the order.
10. Criminals know that Human Rights Activists will not allow death sentence.
SOLUTIONS:
1. Create fear of Law by making punishment for rape "Death by Hanging" for all rapists irrespective of AGE.
2. There should be no provision for Appeal beyond High Court in Rape cases.
3. There should be time limit of 2 weeks for case to be decided by lower court based on Forensic evidence.
4. The Appeal in High Court should be decided in 2 weeks.
5. There should be no provision for mercy appeal.
6. After confirmation of death sentence by High Court the criminal should be Hanged within One Week and wide publicity should be given to create fear in the minds of prospective criminals.
Note: The above solution is not applicable to rape cases filed by women who enter in to consensual physical relationship with a man on account of promise of marriage and later on his refusal to marry file a rape case. more

meddling in matters of posting by politicians favouring them and put policemen under their obligation.Salary of policemen should be improved such that they are encouraged to uphold law and protect them for some time in case of undue pressure. more

these are basic steps after crime happened - police investigation, court trial, free medical help, strict law. govt. punishment jail, etc. etc. But this will not stop crime. The next and important steps is to stop criminals before any crime happen. My video message, poster, song, helpline, website, new ideas will stop crime. Change in media reporting can also stop crimes. I wrote to media house but no response from them. They are using outdated ideas of reporting. this is the cause of crime increasing. more
