Women Workplace Harassment
Shocked to read the survey that globally 2/3rds of the flight attendants have been harrassed including groped, fondled, slapped even. Wondering what is the number in India.
And what other professions are there where such high levels of women sexual harassment happens.
Problem is lack of training in organisations. Some years ago when I was on an Air India late night flight there were a bunch of drunken men behind my seat who kept talking about the size of the body parts of the flight attendant who knew what was happening and kept ignoring. Finally I got up and said do you measure this at home too for your mother and sister and it became such a big hullaboo that the flight staff had to move me forward. The idiots still did not apologise.
We need to fight this like child abuse. more

Just recall a case of Jasleen Kaur three years back in Tilak Nagar area of Delhi. The person implicated was found innocent as luckily he had some glaring eye-witnesses. Media trial raped the person left and right. He is fighting a case still in the court and the complainant has not even attended the hearing even once. Now is that the innocent person not being raped by one and all and what is the remedy. Similarly the two men in a Rohtak Bus case where the complainant would have been gifted bravery award by the CM of Haryana on republic day have been acquitted innocently and our great media has still not declared them innocent. Whether these two men have not been raped by one and all including media. These are not isolated examples but are available in abundance. more

It exists and we must fight these people by existing laws.Changing the mind set by starting at schools, colleges and religious lectures and by Political parties to its cadre. Obscene words gestures and acts must be booked . All offices must have CASH comitteees. more

Are you only sermonising? Did you or the flight attendants file a complaint with the authorities on arrival at the airport? If not, then there is no use complaining now on the social media. The inebriated men should have been handed over to the police.Then only such indecent incidents will abate. more
