I don't think it is possible to monitor all NGOs financials. Best is to do random audits. And yes, NGOs should be brought under RTI. Any NGOs violating the law should be strictly punished. more
As long as the Indian Government do not make the Political Party Funds and Accounts for compulsory audit and accounting , Government cannot fully eradicate the misuse , misappropriation , wrong-allocation etc., by NGOs and hence both are interlinked . more
There are some NGOs working honestly and genuinely. I think they should not be suffered because of these regular check or monitoring. Otherwise they will be busy in reporting and answering the questions to Govt. instead of working for society. more
There has to be regular check on the working of NGO so that they remain whit in the frame work of for which they have been formed more
Not all NGOs are fraud. What about genuine NGOs who are serving with dedication for betterment of the society and nation building. No support is available from Govt. Approvals are getting delayed inordinately especially FCRA. No transparency in website of Home Dept. one cannot know the status of the application. How can work without financial support. Govt need to segregate the GOOD and the BAD. more
