Working Too Hard - How to handle it?

Make sure to: 1./ Chalk out one or two chunks of time in the day to focus on projects that are the most challenging to you. Space the rest of your tasks accordingly to take less precedence. 2. Try and focus on one task at a time for at least 20 minutes, before you turn your attention to another one. 3. Take a few short breaks when you are in the middle of a particularly intense project. Take a walk around the office or grab a cup of coffee with your coworker. 4. Set a personal time limit to working on just two projects at a time. This, according to French neuron-scientists, is your brain's natural limit. As human beings, we are hardwired to handle only two things at once. Include a couple of more tasks to the mix and it's a recipe for disaster. Be sure to give yourself more time to complete a project that you think you need. This way, you won't have to rush anything and can stay on schedule. 5. Always take the time out for the restorative power of rest. At the end of the day, focus on the fact that quality always trumps quantity, especially where your professional life is concerned. It all about time management; the ability of self to drive the self to manage time, or to use his time, not judiciously, but wisely. I think this ability is missing, and most do not know as to where to gain it from and by doing what. People still are continuing to choose to be a part of, and be engaged with, the wisdom and understanding of the powers of knowledge of mad rat race; of following and doing the work of desires only and for fulfilling them only. None however seem to know about the alternate; i.e the existence of the wisdom and understanding of the powers of knowledge of the driving force of time;as well; i.e of the hope of life; especially of the good life of qualities of nature of goodness; primarily of the actions of virtues of devotees; essentially of those of noble deeds; following and doing the work of which can make all the difference. more
Good thoughts and real world situations. Doing multi tasking today has become fashion without understanding that the end result is none of the task done efficiently. As rightly said we need to prioritize and have a laser focus on the KRA's. Delegation and trust in others abilities will help to focus on most important things. more
Agree with you on multitasking. Prioritizing one task at a time is a more efficient and less error-prone approach. 'Multitasking' should be an absolute last approach in an extreme situation. more
