Worrying COVID situation - lockdown for 5000+ case locations

Yesterday

89019 new cases, 713 deaths & 10.5L tests
7 day average TPR: 6.8%
6.6L active cases & growing at 5.5%
Total: 12.39M cases, 164141 deaths
7 crore vaccination doses given

I understand that lockdown disrupts a lot of things but safety of people is paramount. In atleast districts with 5000+ active cases why shouldn’t a planned lockdown of 1 month say from April 10th be not done. Dont make it sudden.

It is a matter of great concern. People should be alert and take preventive steps. more
Lockdowns, directive ones, rather than advisories, are ineffective. Irrational too if with a notice period of 4 hours only. Top that with a long quarantining kind of isolation lasting a lengthy 68 days that we endured last year. Apart from the basics that government provided, through digital network mobilising governmental resources, exceptions being daily wage earners, or those benefiting from free education as schools too catered for the rich affording online learning, India's was the world's most severest ever affecting maximum populations emergency like lockdown. Yes we got our infrastructure together, while getting vaccine ready being a redeeming factor. Lockdowns, especially sudden ones far exceed the solvency available among populations, as evident through experiencing a severe lockdown. Economy also suffered, we saw, statistics say 28% down. Nothing gained except clear skies, earth, water bodies, rejuvenated nature and the experience. more
Instead of districts lockdown, lock these violators down in hotels and unoccupied apartments at their cost. No exceptions. more
We have seen in Govt . Offices without greesing the hand of any officer it is very difficult to get our job done . Though we hear our country is free of corruption in BJP rule but in 72 years of age I have not come work get done without a hitch. If we offer some bribe we get avoided of many rounds to officers table . So this why Mumbai the police & airport officials are hand to hand in getting bribe .Sachin Waze's story is a clear example of this . Recently a lady judge was arrested in Vadgaon Maval of Pune accepting bribe to manage a case to give a favorable judgement . These a few examples .Our newspapers are carrying such cases almost daily . more
People havent realized about the need for protocol for a couple of months more. The only other option is to FORCE PEOPLE TO ADHERE TO THE SAFETY NORMS.TELL THEM IT IS NOT TO PROTECT THEM BUT THE LAKHS WHO ARE GETTING INFECTED BECAUSE THEY ARE THE CULPRITS. more
