Many Non BJP Ruled States have not Reduced Price. They should also reduce the same. So that Inflation can be same throughout India. People need not go to BJP States from Non BJP States to fetch fuel. more
Cutting diesel prices means just shifting responsibility from those consuming the fuel onto the taxpayer, who will make good the revenue shortfall. Diesel, also by the way of the 2 fuels powering internal combustion engines, is the more polluting. However, government does this as a populist measure. more
Let us now ask the government to reduce their expenses on Z plus security and other security for those who really do not need it. Also all unnecessary and huge expenses of the government. We in Pune are seeing a lot of defense homes being renovated and additional facilities being added unnecessarily. If you saw the junk lying on the roads, it will horrify you. If you see the state of some of the roads in Maharashtra, it will make you cry. Look at the desert countries of today. They are sooo good, so clean and their economy is rising whilst ours is falling and the Honorable PM says we are doing so good, with Rs.78 to a dollar!!!! Is that good or what???? more
Diesel prices should be the same as petrol, with maybe preserving the legacy, the diesel meant for trucks being priced cheaper. Rich people, taking jaunty rides in their personal vehicles should pay accordingly. Stopping burning fossil fuels should be the ultimate aim and will that happen when subsidy in the name of keeping food prices affordable is enjoyed by even those owning and driving SUVs on such a fuel that pollutes! Erstwhile environment minister underscored dieselisation of personal transportation as a problem.Obviouslyy, current populism being made out with the future. more
I absolutely agree with mr. Ramanathan 👌👍👏 more
