Writing off Bank NPAs
The writeoff is public money. The SC through their appointed SIT should publish complete details of all such writeoffs with details of promoters of companies who went into liquidation or were unable to payoff their loans to the Bank.
The SC should bar all such personnel to ever float any company or be appointed as a Director of any company even if no criminal proceedings can be taken against them. Such details should be widely publicised.
Most of such people live in great comfort since they have transferred all these funds to their family members-such people should also be investigated to determine how their present wealth has been obtained. more

When banks are allowed/permitted to provision a fund in multiple thousands of crores under " Provision for Bad and Doubtful Debts Written off ", any talk of not allowing such write offs etc has no meaningful purpose. The very budgeting by banks under " Provision for Bad and Doubtful Debts Written off " clearly states that the banks are in full awareness or knowledge of debts going NPAs and to get considerations from the Regulator / Govt. / Tax etc. on grounds of saving such banks. So, there is no point in raising voice or hype when big Organizations get favored through lobbyists to exploit such provisions. In treating an ailment, it is always suggested and desirable to eliminate the root-cause of such ailment and not just providing symptomatic treatment when the symptoms are bound to recur. But our Govt. or Regulator would not dare take any deterrent action to prevent such recurrence and would be more comfortable in providing mock and symptomatic treatment rather than eliminating the root cause. If banks don't indulge in such malpractices of illegality, how can there be any single point blame game on the NPAs? Here the general public is not aware of the fact that the banks indulge in hidden agenda and make a person a defaulter by adopting all illegal methodologies when the bank itself is a defaulter. more

Political influence in banking system has to be arrested. How can huge amounts be allowed to mount and why the concerned departments not ringing the alarm Bell well in time ? Under no circumstances NPA write off be allowed. That is looking the poor public by those born to lsvish. more
