Wrong entry of TDS

I am a senior citizen and only income is interest on FDs. Last week when I was about to file my tax return it was found in form 26 AS that some unknown company has shown that some amount of interest was paid to me and also corresponding TDS was deposited against my PAN no. I had to hold back my return filing and luckily I could find the company and its contact no. through google search. I contacted them and though the response was good no correction was done even after 8 days. I have to suffer for no fault of mine. If it is not corrected before 31st July, what is the procedure to be followed by me for filing the return. I don't understand how an entry against a PAN no. is accepted without matching the name or date of birth etc. more

Thank you all for the suggestions more
If you are beliw the limit of exemption file the IT return and claim a refund. Then the ball will be on the IT dept. more
Dear Satyanarayana, 1. Please write to Income Tax TDS Dept on the wrong TDS under copy to AO. 2.Please write to company stating wrong credit of TDS and requesting them to file revised TDS return, mark copy to AO and TDS Dept. 3.File ITR ignoring the wrong TDS. more
Please go ahead and file your return based on the interest attributable to your investments ignoring the income shown by the Company where you had no investment. Please also do not take credit for the amount of TDS shown by this company in your return. They can correct this error only in their next return which is filed quarterly. They would correct this in their return which they have to file in the month of July and may be would be reflected in your AS 26 in July end or August. Please do not worry about it. more
You can file your IT Return without taking credit of wrong TDS entry in Form 26 AS. more
