Wrong TDS entry if ITR form

Hello all,
I filed my IT returns in last week of August in which by mistake I put all my bank TDS in advance tax (IT sheet of ITR form) which is not visible in IT system. It is more than the amount of my income tax to be paid. But when I received the intimation, they demaded the extra tax. Can I file the corrected returns again to avoid unnecessary tax. Please reply. Thank you in advance! more

after receiving intimation u/s143(1) you need to file rectification u/s154, this facility is also available online in case of problem you can call on 9868124071 more

Since you have received the intimation presuming under Section 143, there is a provision to rectify the mistake online on IT Return filing web site. In addition you can reply to the intimation saying you donot accept the demand and provide documentary evidence of TDS deducted by bank by attaching a copy of Form 26AS. more

Since you have filed original return within extended due date and realised mistake you can file revised return. It is advisable to take professional help in such case more
