Hi Friends, do not buy anything from askmebazaar site, I bought a FAN from them and waiting for delivery since last August (yes its already one year now). They didnt delivered my item not refunded me. Not sure, how to get my refund. more
The portal of Askmebazaar.com has a peculiar term under Terms & Conditions related to failure to Deliver; 8.6 Failure to receive order: The logistics partner(s) of AskmeBazaar shall make all reasonable efforts to deliver the Products ordered by the User buying the Product, at the address communicated by it at the time of placement of the order. However, if the User buying the Product is not able to take delivery of the Product, the same would be returned back to the User selling the Product. In the event, the User buying the Product requests AskmeBazaar to resend the Product(s), the same would be resent only if the Product is available with the User selling the Product. In case of such an event, the User selling the Product may at its discretion levy additional delivery charges. In the event, the User selling the Product is unable to send/ resend the Product due to its non-availability with the User selling the Product, the amount/ price paid for the Product by the User selling the Product shall be reversed to the User buying the Product account where payment has been made through payment gateways. No such refund due to non -deliverability will be applicable to orders placed with cash on delivery options. So you have following options: a. you have to prove that the item ordered was not delivered to you; for this you have to find out the status of the delivery; you would have received a delivery track number, and using that, find out the status of the delivery of the product; b. if it says it is already delivered, then you have a new dimension to handle; you have to ask for PoD (Proof of Delivery) because, it could have been delivered to your neighbour without your permission - these delivery people do not mind taking chances; c. if it says returned, you hv to take up with the website guys as per point 8.6 given above; d. if you have already paid the amount before delivery, the issue would be the recovery of the amount by proving that you have not received the product; the portal undertakes to refund the amount if the goods are not delivered to you. (as per pt 8.6); well the lapsed time might go against you; well if they remain silent, write to them saying that, if you do not get a favourable response from them, the matter would be referred to consumer court; Most of the times it works; If they call your bluff then you might hv to really approach the consumer courts; in the meantime, take snapshots/screen shots of the details of the purchases and the delivery status screens; it is possible that they could be manipulated by the portal to your detriment; all the best; more
Mr. Suhas ,so far you got advices how to purchase on line. Now I will tell you for recovery I) Make a notice for refund of amount paid and claim damages for not supplying. ii) Send complaint copy to the Platform from which you paid whether by debit or credit card. iii) If paid by Credit Card raise a Dispute with the card issuing bank.( AS per rule it has to be done within 60 days. But still no harm in trying) iv) Also send a copy to cccell@hotmail.com. Will put your complaint on all Social Media to expose this seller more
You should have availed COD and checked the condition of the product when taking delivery and then should have paid them the amount. It is advisable to follow these steps when ordering products online. If the courier person does not allow you to open and check the product, then simply send it back. No problem. We do not loose anything. We can buy the same from other places. more
I do not agree with Mr. Deshpande. There are plenty of good and reliable ONLINE sellers. They are supplying good quality goods are rates which are many times cheaper than the normal retailers. One can even return if not satisfied and all this from the comfort of home. We are regularly purchasing from Amazon, Flipkart and so on and are very satisfied. One has of course to be just cautious in his choice. more
