Yakult the probiotic drink - Beware
the matter below was raised in the Residents of Noida circle by Sh I.J. Jain. I am sharing this here so Consumer Affairs, Food Distribution and FSSAI can be roped into the whole issue to ensure our kids aren't drinking contaminated/fake yakult (so called) and we are paying full price for it.
Refilling of Yakult Bottles
I have seen the Yakult bottles are being filled up at the backside of Om Diary in Sector 34. I am not sure whether they have the franchise of Yakult or not but the bulk production is going on there. A man sitting with empty bottles of Yakult and dropping something with a pipet in each bottle for sealing it. There is no sealing plant there but the bottles are sealed and sold.
Upon follow up by several eminent members in circle, Yakult has responded with a standard response:

I have personally followed up with Yakult team and I fail to understand the way the entire management of Yakult is dealing with this sensitive news. As a company they should either come back to us with solution or we should reconsider consuming their product. Monopoly in market does not means that the company would expect users to head hunt the fault findings outside the production units. This e mail from Amitabh seems like an e mail template or standard reply from their management.
I cant risk to consume a fake Yakult unless the company comes up with some suggestions on this topic.
Thanks
