yesterday my husband developed high b.p. He checked it every hour as he was really anxious. It stayed at 140 on the higher side most of the time. I would be grateful if any one would suggest some homemade remedies for keeping b.p. normal. more

Ms. Gurjas ji I appreciate your concern for the health of your husband. You could give little more vital information about the patient's age , weight , height , Sugar levels, life styles at least to get the best advice . Many have actually mentioned on their own the age bracket . Do that in the chat you will get the precise prescription from the same . Don't let the mentors grope in the dark to suggest remedy. Age of the patient is of utmost importance. If he is in the middle age range then one needs to go in for a consultation. But if the patient is above 60 or so then 140 systolic is not of much concern. But the history of BP is also to be considered... More important is the diastolic which should be at 80 level and any abnormal behaviour of diastolic should be seriously taken. In general terms, light food, least salt, no fried food, more of fruits and nuts, lot of water, NO TENSION, and A REGULAR EXERCISE LIKE WALKING OR JOGGING DEPENDING ON other features of his build up and other related complications etc, is a must. A regular brisk walk for at least an hour or say around 5-6 km is a must. Sitting job is the worst for any human. more  
High bp is either build uo due to worry, less sleep or food. See there is no solution for worries. Find out the root cause and be free from it. If worries gone man can sleep happily. We have to improve our food habits. We must try to bring balance in the food. Not too hot, not too cool, use to take salads, use to take buttermilk, use to take milk during meals, use to take food according to our work and digestion power. This balance of food habits and timings will control your bp. Don't mix more than one thing with salt. Either green chatni or papad or pickles.This will control your salt level and prevent from acidity. In turn your bp will be controlled. more
