Yes,there is no doubt about corruption in PSU's But It is extremely high .I had worked in Hindustan Prefab Ltd., A CPSE under m/o Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (HUPA) for few years and I came across no. of cases where all top executives( including Joint Secretary of ministry , Chairman, Director, GM and FA&CAO even CPIO/CVO of company and cashier)are highly involved in corruption forming a chain as top mgt. involved therefore nobody can dare to agitate against it. Now I give you an example how it works All bribe in company is paid at the cash counter of the company so that every body thinks it is white money of the company later it is distributed among in FA&CAO, Director and engineers. Problem arise last year when cashier was going to retire on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.11.14. The management immediately decided to keep him as consultant on the 3.12.2014 despite no. of cashier are available in Accounts department. I objected on the same as consultant required to appoint on a specialized job not for the post of Grade pay Rs. 2800. But CMD and FA & CAO has already made up their mind as there personal interest vested and rejected objection of P&A deptt. and forced to proposed him to keep him as consultant afterthat the said person is still handing cash. this is one example ,there are several cases of the kind.(Pls see proposal and objections of P&A attached here)Whole picture of corruption may be obtained if govt. anti corruption and IT Department raid only two to three officers FA&CAo, Director and CPIO/CVO of company.
