yog help in asthma and B.p

Hi friends i just want to get some information regarding one of yog asana that is alom vilom. I get to understand that this yog helps to reduce asthma attack and BP if regularly practice pls suggest is it helpfull.other problem is i am not abel to follow when to inhale and when to exhale.i dont want to aggrivate the condition by wrongly doing this yog asana.help me to solve this riddle. more  

Mr. Bhuvanesh Sondhi, When you are suffering from an attack of asthma or wheezing you can't do pranayama or asanas. Once that is subsided then start of with the following brething excercises. You must also know your B.P.levels before tou do Kabalapathy . The other 2 anolom vilom ans Bastika you can go ahead. Pranayama is not for symptomatic relief ; it is to give you a lasting lung and general body health. The 3 simple pranayama are : Bastika , Analom vilom and Kabalapathy. All 10 minutes each after starting in short durations in empty stomach, early morning. *Bastka : is just deep breathing from a sitting posture on the floor with spine straight , chest up, tummy tuck position. Whatever amount of time you take to inhale through nostrils same time to exhale through nostrils. *Analom vilom :1. close right nostril with righr thumb, inhale through left nostril. 2.Use right ring finger and middle finger to close left nostril and exhale through the right nostril. 3.Inhale through right nostril 4.Close the right notril and repeat *Kabalapathy :Sit on floor spine straight fingers in Mudhra. Exhale forcefully through nostrils roughly at the rate of 60 exhalations per minute. Don't worry about inhalation , as there is vacuum created in the lungs air will go automatically [it is like squeezing a ball and releasing it]Exhalation is force full as naval goes towards the back . This action is particularly is helpful in pushing the toxins mechanically from the alveoli of the lungs. This is how the toxins like pollen , dust, lead from traffic and nicotine carbon dioxide is forcefully pushed out. When done regularly , the toxins that accumulate in the lungs are thrown out without any use of chemicals. So the allergy causing substances are also thrown out. This is for the allergy from the air that we breath. There are other allergies from intake of foods. ADD LIFE TO YEARS. more  
Please start Yoga & Pranayam twice a day under expert guidance. Unless you practice correctly, you will not get the complete recovery. more
