Why cant we have an app where we can buy a platform ticket thru smart phones, same as buying a train ticket ? more
Best thing would be to remove platform ticketing... anyways beggars and illegal vendors don't buy any tickets !! :) more
Buying platform tickets from machines is easy .same is very time consuming if we have to buy from counters as the counter is same for buying tickets and platform tickets. Usually the people who come to see off will not know the procedure or it is difficult for them to spend on 5-10 ppl. traveler has to go and buy which becomes difficult as he has to check the train arrival also.... Hence it will be good if vending machines are kept in order and improved to take cash/card. alternatively a separate counter or some one can sell them on platform itself. many people don't buy tickets not because of cost but they have to spend time in queue.if they are available on platform ,more people will buy. more income to Railways...!!! more
See friend Not only Banglore station most of the stations are like that.We can't able to do any thing but feeling is our duty. more
Online platform ticket on mobile phone is a better solution. From 9 pm(or untill the pantry staff finish their work) to 6 am the lights must be centrally controlled in all the compartments except in toilets. For emergency, lights can be put on but should go off automatically in 2-3 minutes. more
